Pour le développement de nos collections, nous utilisons des fibres naturelles certifiées telles que la soie de la paix, le Lyocell et les chutes de cuir provenant de tanneries de luxe.
Peace Silk
Non-violent silk, Ahimsa Silk or Peace Silk, is produced from cocoons in a cruelty freeway, that is without killing the pupae inside or without sacrificing animal life. “Ahimsa”, meaning “nonviolence”, is a philosophy of many Eastern religions, which states that humans should refrain from inflicting any kind of suffering on others, including non-human and even non-animal life.
While tradition silk extraction usually involves boiling the silk worm, this cruelty-free silk process allows the silkworm to live out its full life cycle without harming the animal. As the cocoon is being pierced, it is not necessary to kill the chrysalis to recover the silk. The silkworms can crawl out of the cocoons without breaking it.
Ahimsa silk is 100% natural & organic and grown in the best conditions. Each stage of the production chain is controlled by the European GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certificate.

Global Organic Textiles Standard (GOTS) est la référence mondiale en termes d’évaluation des fibres biologiques intégrant les aspects sociaux et écologiques reposant sur une certification indépendante de toute la chaine d’approvisionnement. En d’autres termes, GOTS certifie un produit naturel sain pour le corps et l’environnement ayant été produit dans de bonnes conditions. Le label a également pris le soin de lister dans son référentiel de nombreuses substances dangereuses pour notre santé et les a interdites dans la composition de ses tissus certifiés : les perturbateurs endocriniens, le formaldéhyde, les OGM et métaux lourds. Depuis la récolte des matières premières en passant par une fabrication écologiquement et socialement responsable jusqu’à l’étiquetage, tout est contrôlé dans un objectif de respect de l’environnement, des travailleurs et du consommateur.
Lyocell, wood fibers
Lyocell is a natural fibre made from renewable wood pulp issued from sustainable tree farming. The wood pulp used for lyocell production comes from trees planted specifically for its production. The pine forests are certified sustainable and have a low environmental impact. Wood fibres are compostable and biodegradable, making the production of the fibres a closed-loop process. The forests we chose practice responsible agriculture in accordance with strict regulations.
The Forest Stewardship Council is an environmental label that certifies that the production of a wood or a wood-based product complies with the procedures that ensure the responsible and sustainable management of the forests. Most of the trees come from certified South African and Austria Forests (PEFC) Program for Supporting Forest Certification.
Pine, the most used for making lyocell, comes from a particularly lasting tree: it grows quickly and without much water. Our luxury silk/lyocell collection combines the silky appearance of the silk and the comfort of the wood fiber. The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) “Forest For Fashion“ supports this 100% sustainable collection.
Upcycling
Within a logic of circular economy and bearing in mind the constant waste of materials in fashion, we chose upcycled leather destined to the food industry and luxury industry’s deadstock fabrics in order to optimize resources.
The leather skins we selected for the collection are issued from a recovery cycle certified REACH, vegetal tanned. Instead of polluting the land, the material is recycled in a fashion product.Olistic collects leathers ‘leftovers from luxurious tanneries in France and Italy and thus is able to create unique pieces.The idea is to use an already existing and high-quality material before having to produce again.
We also consider luxury industry’s deadstock fabrics as a noble material that should not go to waste or get burned. Thought as a sustainable brand, Olistic incorporates to the supply chain both the various concepts of recycling and a commitment to a circular economy.
Virgin wool
Burel wool finds its origins on the peaks of the mountainous plateaus of the Serra da Estrela, where the sheep still live in complete freedom. Sheared by hand by the shepherds, guardians of the flocks and their natural environment, these animals are raised in unchanged conditions for centuries and offer us the virgin wool. Burel wool yarn binds Man to his environment. Burel wool is above all a story of passion and transmission. This secular know how is transmitted from generation to generation in the families of Portuguese craftsmen who produce, spin and weave this exceptional wool.
Thanks to local partners who respect the environment and are truly committed to a certified 100% recyclable and waste-free production, Olistic the Label designs a sustainable fashion and participates in the revival of this traditional activity which favors the socio-economic development of the region.

Geelong Merinos wool
Our knitted garments are made of geelong merino wool, obtained from the first shearing of free-range lambs. This noble natural material with the softness of cashmere, is traditionally handwoven thanks to the know-how of our Italian partners.
Merino wool is sought after for its numerous thermoregulatory and insulating properties. This natural hypoallergenic fiber guarantees warmth and comfort. We have selected an extra-fine virgin wool for an everyday wardrobe that is both feminine and casual.
Our merino wool benefits from the expertise of passionate artisans. We work with a spinning workshop established in Italy for 125 years that has been perpetuating a precious know-how for more than 5 generations and is now collaborating with Greenpeace. The knitting of our merino wool sweaters, pants and accessories is also entrusted to an Italian family business, an iconic workshop in the Venetian region renowned for its respect of traditions combined with a unique sense of innovation.
